샌프란시스코 월드 스피릿 컴페티션 2022 (San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022)의 결과가 발표되었습니다. 이번에도 수많은 스피릿들이 심사위원들의 엄격한 심사 끝에 희비가 갈렸습니다. 2022년의 결과 정리와 간단한 정보를 담아보았습니다.
아메리칸 블렌디드 위스키?
블렌디드 아메리칸 위스키는 최소 20%의 스트레이트 위스키를 함유해야 합니다. 숙성되지 않은 중성 증류주와 높은 도수의 라이트 위스키를 블렌딩 하여 밸런스를 맞춥니다. 이 두 종류의 스피릿은 버번과 유사한 일반적인 위스키 풍미 프로파일을 가지고 있지만 풍미 면에서 단순히 정의 내리기 힘듭니다.
아메리칸 블렌디드 위스키는 20% 스트레이트 위스키 함유 외에 강력하게 규제되는 항목이 없기에 훨씬 더 다양한 풍미 프로필을 지닌 위스키들이 소비자들을 만족시키기 위하여 만들어집니다.
